MOUNT VERNON – Mount Vernon High School has shared results of the 2022 Grand Concours (National French Test), which was completed in mid- March.  

The test is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of French, and this year was the 87th test. This year, nearly 42,813 students took the test from all 50 states (last year, there were nearly 30,000 students that took the test). All Mount Vernon French students took the test. Nine MVHS students received special recognition (three received medals) for the contest scores. Students that received Mention d'Honneur (honorable mention) placed in the 50th-70th percentiles. Bronze medals are for 75th and 80th percentiles, and silver medals are for 85th or 90th percentiles. For French 1 and 2, the test is 70 questions, and for all other levels, the test is 60 questions.
