COLUMBUS – Olive M. Schwarzkopf, 89, of Columbus, passed away on Jan. 16, 2022. She was born on July 19, 1932, in Mount Vernon to the late John and Gladys (Newell) Loveridge.

Olive was a dedicated executive secretary at The Ohio Department of Transportation in Newark.  Prior to working for the state of Ohio, she held the position of business manager at a women’s high-end clothing store called the Fashion Page in Mount Vernon.

She enjoyed playing cards with friends and family, reading and knitting in her spare time.

Olive is survived by her daughter, Chris Ann Geiger (Pete) of Marysville, and son, Wesley E. Berger of Franklin, Wisconsin;  grandchildren, Courtney Schanzer (Berger) and Katharine Berger; step-children, Lori Ann (Jim) Walcutt of Denver, Colorado, Susan (Dean) Wagner of Westerville, Jim (Jan) Schwarzkopf of Sylvania; step-grandchildren, Bobby, Brian and Meredith Schwarzkopf, Sarah Walcutt, and Emily Wagner. 

In addition to her parents, Olive was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Samuel Schwarzkopf; half-siblings Ida, Donald, Ruth and Adelaide; siblings Pearl, Ellen, David, Daniel, John, James, Marian, and Elizabeth.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
