UTICA – Mary “Kathleen” Kidd, 86, formerly of Utica, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021. She was born May 5, 1935, in Newark to the late Jay and Mary (Wilson) Miller.
Kathleen was a member of the Utica Church of Christ and the USTA. Throughout the years, she attended many draft horse pulls in support of her husband, Charles, and traveled as far as Utah to see them compete. Together, they owned several Standardbred racehorses, and Kathleen took an active role in their care both on and off the track. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards and always looked forward to hosting events where she could cook.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Charles Kidd; son, Kenny (Amber) Kidd; brother, Ron (Diane) Miller; sister, Mildred (Dale) McDonald; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road SE., Newark, OH 43055.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Brucker and Kishler Funeral Home, 985 N. 21st St., Newark, with service at 1 p.m. Burial to follow at Rocky Fork Cemetery.
