The Mount Vernon News is looking for sportswriters and reporters to write about community news and sports to help keep residents informed. We cover Knox County sports, including the Ohio Cardinal Conference, KMAC and local colleges, as well as community recreation, outdoor activities, sports and events. We cover the following high school sports programs: Cardington-Lincoln, Centerburg, Danville, East Knox, Fredericktown, Highland, Mt. Gilead, Mount Vernon, Northmor and Utica; and we cover Kenyon College and Mount Vernon Nazarene University athletic programs. We are also interested in youth sports, adult leagues, community, church and YMCA events. If it is about sports or recreation, we want YOU to write about it.
