Mount Vernon senior-to-be two-way football player Jesse Foster has added Lake Erie College in Painesville to the growing list of colleges and universities reaching out to him.
LEC’s offer follows that of Capital College, which was Foster’s first and came in June.
“Super excited to announce I have officially received an offer from Lake Erie College,” Foster, who plays wide receiver and defensive back, tweeted June 28.
Yellow Jackets coach Mike Kerr shared in Foster’s excitement as well, letting the private liberal arts college’s football program know what it’ll be getting in the fall of 2022.
“Well deserved!! So excited for @jesse_foster3!!” Kerr tweeted. “[Three-sport] athlete, never missed a lift and has grown into a tremendous leader!!”
The 6-foot-3, 215-pound Foster lettered under Kerr since 2018, his Hudl profile shows.
The Mansfield News Journal reported that Foster earned Ohio Cardinal Conference Second Team All-OCC in his junior season.
He also was part of the MV 4x100 team that broke the school record with a time of 44.24 back in May, the publication reported.
