MOUNT VERNON – The Mount Vernon Nazarene University cross country program announced its 2021 schedule for both its men's and women's teams on Wednesday.
The season begins in nearby Gambier at the Kenyon Tri-Meet, hosted by Kenyon College on Sept. 3. On Sept. 11, MVNU heads to Terre Haute, Ind., for the Saint Mary of the Woods Invite at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course.
After the trip to Indiana, MVNU goes to Cedarville on Sept. 17 to take on some of the best that Ohio has to offer in the All-Ohio Meet at Cedarville University.
MVNU takes two weeks off before heading to Huntington, Ind., for the Huntington University Invite on Oct. 1. Both the men's and women's teams will then take another two weeks to rest up before going to Wilmington College for the Jenna Strong Fall Classic on Oct. 15.
MVNU heads up north to Grand Rapids, Mich.,for the Great Lakes Challenge on Oct. 23. The meet will be hosted by Aquinas College.
After its trip north, MVNU goes back to Huntington University for the Crossroads League Championship on Nov. 6. If MVNU has any runners qualify, they will partake in the 2021 NAIA Cross Country National Championship in Vancouver, Wash., on Nov. 19.
Official start times for these meets are still to be determined.
