Team of Faith rallied for three runs in the sixth inning and three more in the seventh but fell short in a 9-8 loss to Relentless Stealth Land Management in Mount Vernon City Coed Softball League play on June 20 at Memorial Park.

Cayleb Cole and Colten Landis had three hits each to lead Relentless, which took the lead with a run in the second inning. Landis homered and doubled, and Cole added a double.

Darynne Breighner had two hits for Team of Faith.

Furry Trails 11, Team of Faith 9

Team of Faith took the lead with two runs in the top of the seventh inning, but Furry Trails answered with three runs in the bottom half to win, 11-9.

Scott Thompson had four hits, including a home run and a triple, to lead Furry Trails. Lee Caudill and Shelby Gonzales added three hits apiece, with Caudill coming a home run short of the cycle.

Matt Ott, Hailey Moore and Chase Darr had four hits apiece for Team of Faith. Ott and Darr each doubled.

J. Gorsuch Construction 12, Relentless Stealth Land Management 9

J. Gorsuch used a three-run third inning to take the lead and a five-run fourth to create distance in a 12-9 win over Relentless.

Cody Smith hit three doubles and finished with four hits; and Ray Goosetree added three hits, including a home run and a double, to lead J. Gorsuch.

Colten Landis and Brittany Rhea had three hits each for Relentless. One of Landis’ hits was a triple.

Melick Painting Company 13, Buckeye Crane 10

Melick exploded for eight runs in the sixth inning and beat Buckeye Crane 13-10.

Dylan Ware, Jamie McClusky and Jim Stulka had three hits apiece to lead Melick. Stulka hit a home run and a double.

Nelson Miller paced Buckeye Crane with four hits.

A+ Autobrokers 10, Elevate Insurance 6

A+ used a five-run first inning to take control on its way to a 10-6 win over Elevate.

Justin Parker and Dave Murphy each had three hits to lead A+. Murphy hit a home run and a triple and Parker doubled twice.

Miranda Martindale had two hits and Noah Voss added a home run for Elevate.

Complete Comfort 12, Team of Faith 6

Complete Comfort scored nine runs over the first two innings and held off a late comeback to beat Team of Faith 12-6.

Keala Marthey had four hits, including a double, to lead Complete Comfort. Tyler Baldwin, Michael Vifer, Noah Gleason, Austin Pagani and Josh Edwards each added three hits. Gleason doubled twice, Edwards hit a triple and Pagani added a double.

Matt Ott, Taylor Breighner and Alvin Wengerd had three hits each for Team of Faith. Ott and Jared Darr each hit home runs.

Relentless Stealth Land Management 14, TJ Thorpe Trucking 9

Relentless scored four runs in the first inning and added five more in the second before holding off TJ Thorpe 14-9.

Cayleb Cole, Colten Landis and Treg Davis each had four hits to lead Relentless, which scored four in the seventh inning after TJ Thorpe closed the gap to one. All three hit doubles.

Bryce Geiger had four hits, including a double, and Cole Pinkerton went deep for TJ Thorpe, which trailed 9-1 at one point and rallied for six runs in the fourth but fell short.

Bad Company 11, J. Gorsuch Construction 6

Bad Company scored three runs in the first inning to take control on its way to an 11-6 win over J. Gorsuch.

Jordan Burson and Shawn Maxwell had three hits apiece to lead Bad Company. Burson hit a home run and a triple.

Ray Goosetree collected four hits, including a double, and Cody Smith had three hits with a home run for J. Gorsuch.

Liberty Lawn Care 12, Bad Company 6

Down four runs, Liberty rallied for seven runs in the sixth inning on its way to a 12-6 win over Bad Company.

Zack Calabretta and Ben Harrod had four hits each to lead Liberty. Harrod hit a triple and two doubles, and Calabretta added a double.

Ben Metcalf had three hits, including a home run and a double, for Bad Company.

Buckeye Crane 17, Cunningham Insurance 11

Cunningham jumped out to a 6-1 lead after one inning. But Buckeye Crane responded with six runs in both the second and third innings to roll to a 17-11 win.

Jared Stover had four hits — all for extra bases — to lead Buckeye Crane. He hit three doubles and a triple.

Josh Eckert led Cunningham with four hits, including a pair of doubles.

FitMix 13, Wedgewing Family Restaurant 4

FitMix put two runs on the board in the first inning and never trailed in beating Wedgewing 13-4.

Drew Johnson collected five hits, including a pair of doubles, and Nicole Whiting added four hits to lead FitMix.

Mel Wengerd had three hits for Wedgewing.

Complete Comfort 16, Presley Construction 6 (6)

Complete Comfort took control with four runs in the opening frame and rolled to a 16-6 win in six innings over Presley.

Michael Vifer and Sandra Spearman had three hits apiece to lead Complete Comfort. Spearman doubled twice.

Brianne Presley had three hits to lead Presley.

Melick Painting Company 10, Presley Construction 0 (5)

Melick scored the only run it needed in the first inning but kept adding on in a 10-0 win in five innings over Presley.

Sarah Pope had four hits, including a pair of doubles, to lead Melick.

Jeremy Sesco had two hits for Presley.

TJ Thorpe Trucking 17, Furry Trails 6

TJ Thorpe overcame a three-run deficit by scoring 14 runs over the final three innings to rally past Furry Trails 17-6.

Cole Pinkerton had five hits, including a home run and a double, to lead TJ Thorpe.

Shelby Gonzales had four hits, including a double, and Lee Caudill clubbed two home runs and finished with three hits for Furry Trails.

Elevate Insurance 16, Precision Floors 5 (6)

A five-run second inning staked Elevate to an early lead on its way to a 16-5 win in six innings over Precision.

Gavin Ridgeway and Devin Allnut had four hits each to lead Elevate. Ridgeway hit a home run and two doubles.

Ray Hernandez had three hits, including a double, for Precision.

Precision Floors 18, FitMix 3

Precision took the lead with a four-run second inning and added a seven-run seventh in posting an 18-3 win over FitMix.

Anthony Miller hit two home runs and finished with five hits to lead Precision. Dave Bolander added four hits, including a double.

Drew Johnson paced FitMix with three hits, including a pair of doubles.

Liberty Lawn Care 20, Cunningham Insurance 9 (6)

Liberty broke a 3-3 tie with five runs in the second inning and rolled to a 20-9 win in six innings over Cunningham.

Ben Harrod had six hits, including a double, to pace Liberty.

Jared Scoles and Josh Eckert had four hits apiece for Cunningham. Eckert hit a triple and a double, and Scoles doubled twice.

A+ Autobrokers 15, Wedgewing Family Restaurant 3 (6)

Trailing 3-1, A+ erupted for 12 runs in the fifth and beat Wedgewing 15-3 in six innings.

Taylynn Morningstar, Dave Murphy, Bart Bland and Brandy Smalls led A+ with three hits apiece. Murphy hit a home run and doubled twice, and Bland had two doubles.

Lena Wengerd, John Wiggins and James Calderhead had two hits apiece for Wedgewing, with Riggins and Calderhead each hitting doubles.

Honey Buckets Tavern 23, Complete Comfort 10 (6)

Honey Buckets rallied for 14 runs in the second and cruised to a 23-10 win in six innings over Complete Comfort.

Nate Davis and Katie Spearman had five hits each, and both hit triples to pace Honey Buckets. Adam O’Bryan added four hits, coming a triple short of the cycle.

Tyler Baldwin and Michael Vifer each doubled and finished with four hits for Complete Comfort. Noah Gleason added three hits, needing only a double to finish off the cycle.

Honey Buckets Tavern 17, Bad Company 5 (5)

Honey Buckets wasted no time, taking control with an eight-run first inning and adding five more in the fifth to put away a 17-5 win over Bad Company in five innings.

Nate Davis and Brandon Davis had three hits each to lead Honey Buckets. Nate Davis hit a triple and a double, Adam O’Bryan added a home run and Katie Spearman doubled twice.

Dustin McDowell and Ben Metcalfe each went deep, and Kyle Hagerman added two hits to pace Bad Company.

Honey Buckets Tavern 27, Melick Painting Company 11 (5)

Tied 7-7, Honey Buckets scored five runs in the third inning and rolled to a 27-11 victory in five innings over Melick.

Travis Born had five hits, including a pair of doubles; and Mariah Pethal, Ethan Abell, Jeff Johnson and Kayla O’Bryan each had four hits to pace Honey Buckets. One of Abell’s hits was a home run.

Katie Mitchell and Dylan Ware each had a double among three hits for Melick.
