Griffith & Son Trucking scored three runs in the fourth and final inning to overtake Lady Amvets 7-5 in Mount Vernon Girls Softball League 12U action on Saturday, May 15, at Memorial Park.

Macy Cotsmine, who was one of six Griffith batters to get a hit, had a double. Savannah Crawford had two strikeouts in the circle.

Rylei Moran and Dalayna Parker had three strikeouts each for Lady Amvets.

Straight A Signs 10, Wigal Orthodontics 7

Straight A Signs scored three runs in the third and final inning to win a 10-7 slugfest over Wigal Orthodontics on Saturday, May 15, at Memorial Park.

Kaylie Staats struck out five batters and added a triple at the plate, and Zoey Neitzelt had two hits to lead Straight A Signs.

Maddy Ball had two hits, including a triple, and Irelynne Moffat had three strikeouts for Wigal.

Charlie’s Body Shop 18, Lady Amvets 9

Charlie’s Body Shop blew it open with a nine-run second inning en route to an 18-9 win over Lady Amvets on Thursday, May 13.

Rylan Winkler had three hits — a triple and two doubles — and Serenity Lemley also had three hits, including a double, to lead Charlie’s, who got four strikeouts from pitcher Chloe Peterson.

Sarah John struck out six batters and added two hits to lead Park National.

Scarlett Roland and Kamille Clinedinst had two hits each to lead Real Living. Clindinst had a triple; and Roland, who also had five strikeouts in the circle, hit a double.
