MOUNT VERNON – The Mount Vernon Middle School Tennis Club is accepting new members. All sixth- to eighth-graders are welcome, at any ability level, from any Knox County-, Clear Fork- or North Fork schools.
The club will be very accommodating for spring sports athletes, with flexible scheduling. The season will be between March 15 and May 7, with practices from 5:30-7 p.m. and matches starting 4-5 p.m.
Practices and home matches will be at the Mount Vernon Memorial Park tennis courts. There will also be away matches against area schools and clubs.
The $70 club fee includes lessons, a team shirt and participation in matches.
