Based on their performances, we will select an ATHLETE of the WEEK and recognize other outstanding athletic accomplishments. Coming out of the holiday break, intensity was not a problem as several athletes showed no rust from the layoff. Two athletes who performed brilliantly in back to-back games include our Athletes of the Week, Ella Bouton (Fredericktown basketball) and Trenton Collins (Utica basketball).

Last season, the Fredericktown Freddies boys basketball team went 6-6 in conference play and 12-13 overall last season, falling narrowly in a playoff matchup vs. the Utica Redskins. Heading into the 2022-2023 season, Fredericktown’s men’s basketball team is bringing back some of its top players, and looks like a dangerous team in the Knox Morrow Conference.
