The Old School & More Car Show, hosted by Mrs. Mopar, has announced the formation of a charitable organization to support future automotive professionals through scholarships and community initiatives.
The initiative aims to preserve automotive heritage while investing in young adults pursuing education and training in fields such as technical trades, restoration, mechanics, and engineering. The organization will provide scholarships funded by annual fundraising events and community partnerships.
"As caretakers of vintage automobiles, we believe it is our responsibility to invest in today’s youth so they can become tomorrow’s caretakers," Jennifer Lamb, founder and host of Mrs. Mopar, Inc. and the Old School & More Car Show, said. "We polish chrome. We preserve history. But most importantly – we invest in the next generation who will carry it forward," Lamb said.
In addition to its scholarship program, the organization plans to support local charitable initiatives when community needs arise. Community members, businesses, and sponsors are invited to partner with the group in its mission.
Last year’s event welcomed 204 registered automobiles along with an additional 15–20 unregistered cars. Organizers hope to grow participation each year and have added new classes this year including van and motorcycle categories.
The 2nd Annual Old School & More Car Show is scheduled for Sunday, August 16th at 1 Burgett Drive in Fredericktown from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with registration open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., a $15 entry fee per vehicle, and awards beginning at 3 p.m. Food vendors will be onsite and spectators are welcome free of charge; donations are accepted.
