The Knox County Board of Commissioners opened two bids during a July 9 meeting for Phase III of the Danville Amity Road (CR14) Safety Improvements project that came in lower than the engineer's estimate of $350,537.

The project consists of resurfacing CR 14 (Danville-Amity Road) from State Route 3 to Monroe Mills Road. Both sections of the "Y" connecting Danville Amity Road to State Route 3 are included in the project, according to the video recording.

According to the Ohio Department of Transportation website, the complete CR 14 Safety Improvements project planned widening of the roadway and shoulders, resurfacing and related work along Danville Amity Road in Knox County. All phases were estimated to cost $3.08 million, with construction scheduled for completion in Fall 2026.

According to the Knox County website, the first phase began from Skyline Drive to Chapel Road. After that section was completed, work moved east ending at the Village of Danville corporation limit. Law General Contracting of Hebron was awarded Phase I in March 2024 for $2.92 million. The project has been funded through ODOT Safety Funds and the Ohio Public Works Commission.
