The Mount Vernon Nazarene University men's soccer team faced Bethel University in the Crossroads League tournament quarterfinals held in Mishawaka, Indiana. The match took place on November 4, with MVNU entering as the eighth seed against top-seeded Bethel, who had a strong season record of 14-2-2 and 8-1-1 in the conference.

Sophomore Brayden Pierson played a crucial role for MVNU by making eleven saves during the game, which helped keep the score level against Bethel's formidable offense. The first half ended without any goals, and the deadlock persisted through to the end of regular time and two overtime periods.
