The Danville High School Blue Devils were defeated 0-3 by Northmor High School on Thursday night. Despite the loss, Coach Morgan Spitler remains optimistic about the team's potential.

According to Spitler, the Blue Devils displayed moments of strong play, achieving seven aces, 27 kills, and 27 assists, along with 50 digs. This performance highlighted both their defensive determination and offensive capabilities. Notable performances came from Erin Crider, who recorded eight kills and ten digs, and Zoey Neitzelt, who contributed seven kills, three aces, and nine digs.

"Tonight just wasn’t our night," Spitler said. "We struggled to find our rhythm offensively, but when we play our style, we’re a tough team to beat. Northmor executed well, and it’s a learning opportunity for us before the tournament season."

Danville's current record stands at 6-9 as they prepare to face Lucas High School next. Spitler emphasized the importance of this upcoming match: "This matchup means a lot to our girls," she said. "It’s a chance to reset, show our energy and unity, and compete the way I know we’re capable of."

The Blue Devils are set to travel to Lucas on Saturday, September 20th, with hopes of showcasing their resilience and talent.
