Danville High School's volleyball team secured a 3-1 victory against Mansfield Christian on August 29. The match showcased the team's skill, teamwork, and determination.

Coach Morgan Spitler praised the team's energy and mindset during the game. "The energy and positivity in our environment right now is incredible — it’s electric," she said. "When we show up with that kind of mindset, we’re truly unstoppable. That said, we need to learn how to finish in three sets before it comes back to bite us."

According to Spitler, Danville's performance was reflected in their statistics: 12 aces, 34 kills, 34 assists, and 41 digs. Key contributors included Zoey Neitzelt with three blocks and 11 kills, Avery Mezie with nine kills, and Brookelynn Carter with eight kills.

The victory improved Danville's record to 2-4 for the season. Spitler emphasized that each win must be earned. "Winning is never easy, no matter who you’re up against. A win is a win, and I couldn’t be prouder of the fight, unity, and heart these girls showed from start to finish," she said.

The team will face Crestview on Saturday, August 30, aiming to build on their momentum and continue improving as the season progresses.
