The Fredericktown Board of Education is set to convene on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 5:30 PM. The meeting will include a period for public participation, allowing community members three minutes each to address the board.

During the meeting, several donations will be acknowledged. These include $5,000 from Fredericktown InterChurch and contributions from The Gorman-Rupp Company, Seventh Day Advent Church, Louise Dudgeon, Crossroads Church, and Carrie Levering-Smith.

The Treasurer's Consent Agenda includes approval of the July 2025 Financial Report and payments to the Ohio Department of Commerce for FY25 services in FY26. Additionally, certificates of estimated resources and appropriations will be considered.

In the Superintendent's Report, updates on bus garage completion and district enrollment for 2025-2026 are expected. The Superintendent's Consent Agenda features various motions including changes to the bus garage project scope and improvements to adjacent parking areas. A contract with Rea & Associates for Medicaid services and a State Testing Security Plan for the upcoming school year are also up for approval.

Other agenda items include adopting Special Education Model Policies from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce and an MOU regarding a Professional Development day with flexible options for teachers' workdays.

Transportation-related resolutions involve declaring certain student transportation impractical and authorizing payments in lieu of transportation. Bus routes for preschoolers may be added as needed.

The board will consider several personnel matters such as resignations from Nicole Gaddis and Brittany Berry, hiring substitute teachers through Frontline/Knox County Educational Service Center, and approving Molly McKinley’s field placement.

Additionally, there will be discussions on eliminating school fees permanently after suspension last year, setting lunch fees for 2025-2026, Title IX compliance measures, pay rates for athletic operations and officials, among other operational details.

A Board Work Session is scheduled post-September 9 meeting focusing on facility planning. The October meeting is moved to October 13 for a Five Year Forecast presentation.
