The East Knox FFA of East Knox Local Schools announced that 23 members attended the 97th annual Ohio FFA Convention in Columbus on May 1–2, 2025. During the event, they participated in sessions, heard speakers, received awards, and explored the trade show.

According to the East Knox FFA, twenty-three members participated in the convention where they attended sessions, explored exhibits, and heard from state and national officers. Among these were National FFA Secretary Luke Jennings and State FFA President Anna Moeller, alongside thousands of attendees.

Chapter members earned several honors. Mackenzie Wilson (secretary), Blake Elliott (treasurer), and Aiden Kapper (reporter) received gold-rated officer awards on stage. Hailey Frazee and Jesse Wolford were awarded the State FFA Degree. The chapter took first place in both the Forestry and Nursery/Landscape Career Development Events. Forestry team members included Dylan Springer, Hayden Baker, Aiana Talbott, and Aiden Kapper; Nursery/Landscape team members were Arianna Talbott, Ava Page, Aiden Kapper, and Madisyn Frost. Arianna Talbott also won first-place individual in Nursery/Landscape. Both teams will compete at the national contest in Indianapolis this October. The chapter additionally received the Charitable Giving Award for contributing at least $500.

FFA, or Future Farmers of America, is a youth organization focused on developing leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Founded in 1928, it prepares members for careers in agriculture, business, science, education, and more. With local chapters led by student officers and agriculture teachers, FFA operates at three levels: local, state, and national. The organization provides hands-on learning experiences and opportunities for personal development.

East Knox Local School District is located in Howard, Ohio. It is home to the East Knox FFA Chapter which supports student development through agricultural education and leadership opportunities. The chapter recognizes achievements such as American and State Degrees and is led by a 2024-2025 officer team including Dylan Springer as President and Hayden Baker as Vice President. The chapter also organizes events like fruit and strawberry sales to support its activities.
