Addy Bocock launched two home runs and drove in four runs to lead the Danville Blue Devils to a 12-0 victory over the Shelby Whippets in five innings on Friday.

According to the game report, Bocock hit home runs in both the second and fourth innings, contributing significantly from the bottom of Danville’s lineup. Bocock, along with teammates Taylor Johnston and Taylor Meade, accounted for six of Danville’s 12 hits, scoring four runs and collecting five RBIs.

Danville took an early lead in the first inning when Abi Sapp singled home a run. Bocock extended this lead with a solo homer to right field in the second inning. The Blue Devils widened their advantage with a 10-run fourth inning. This offensive surge was highlighted by Ruby Bartok's solo shot to center field and Bocock's three-run homer to left field. Meade and Addison Mickley also contributed RBI singles during this inning, while additional runs were scored due to an error, a groundout, and a wild pitch.

Bocock also excelled as a pitcher, earning the win by throwing a five-inning no-hitter with 11 strikeouts and one walk. Shelby's starting pitcher Peyton Bruskotter took the loss after allowing 12 runs—eight of which were earned—over 3.2 innings.

Mickley and Johnston each had multiple hits for Danville, which improved its record to 1-0. Despite their loss, Shelby managed one double play during the game. The Blue Devils are scheduled to host West Holmes on Monday.
