Central Ohio Technical College (COTC) and The Ohio State University at Newark are organizing an Independence Day celebration on July 3, featuring a concert and fireworks. The event will take place at the shared Newark campus and is expected to attract over 20,000 attendees.
The institutions are inviting food vendors to apply for the opportunity to serve the large crowd. Interested parties can submit their applications through the website go.osu.edu/fireworks. Eligible mobile establishments include food trucks, concessions trailers, and temporary food service operations. There are limited spaces available.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, May 9. Submission does not ensure acceptance. Accepted vendors will be required to pay a $150 fee and provide a certificate of insurance. However, registered 501(c)(3) organizations can participate without charge upon verification of their nonprofit status.
Vendors must adhere to regulations set by the Licking County Health Department and be ready for a health inspection by 3 p.m. on the day of the event.
For further details, interested vendors can contact Laura Walsh via email at walsh.276@osu.edu or call 740-364-9514.
