Mount Vernon High School senior Ainsley Bonaudi is making a significant impact in Ohio through her Global Scholars project, The Swap Map. This initiative highlights various swap events across Ohio, helping families exchange items while reducing landfill waste.

Ainsley's efforts promote sustainability and community support by giving clothing a second life rather than contributing to waste. She has personally hosted four clothing swaps, saving over 3,000 items from landfills. Her Swap Map now connects organizations statewide interested in clothing exchanges, reducing textile waste and providing free resources for families in need.

"Swapping is a great sustainable and affordable way to connect with all members of your community," said Ainsley. "I have learned much through the Global Scholars program. High School sophomores should definitely contact Mr. Tocheff, high school Spanish teacher for information about this wonderful program."

More information on local clothing swaps can be found at https://linktr.ee/Theswapmap or by following the project on Instagram @theswapmap.

Support Ainsley's efforts by sharing this resource and encouraging sustainable fashion choices.
