Sally Jeanette (Paynter) Albrecht, 87, of Centerburg, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2025.
She was born on June 24, 1937 in Zanesville, Ohio to Ernest L. and Jeannette R. (Kokensparger) Paynter Sr.
After graduating from Zanesville High School in 1956, Sally continued her education, graduating from cosmetology school in 1958. Sally competed and won several hair-styling awards as a beautician.
She married her husband Fred A. Albrecht Sr. on Aug. 9, 1958, and was married for 62 years. Sally loved serving the Lord as a minister's wife and served for 70 years. For the past 44 years, Sally served at Centerburg Church of Christ until her death.
Sally was a local coordinator for the Meals-on-Wheels in Covington, Virginia and in Centerburg.
Surviving are her 4 children: Frederick (Sandy) Albrecht Jr., Daniel (Cammie) Albrecht, Denise (Dave) Melvin, and Dean (Jennifer) Albrecht; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are her sisters, Jane Untied of Frazeysburg and June Lacy of Dresden, and brother-in-law Walter (Rose) Albrecht.
Preceding her in death are her late husband Evangelist Frederick A. Albrecht Sr. of Centerburg; her parents Ernest L. and Jeannette Paynter; brothers, Ernest L. Paynter Jr. and Donald "Butch" Paynter; sisters, Pat Norris and Phyllis Willard, also of Zanesville; and daughter-in-law Kathy (Young) Albrecht.

Visitation was held at Centerburg Church of Christ on Feb. 2. A service for Sally was held on Feb. 3 with Roger Crego and Daryn Dawes presiding.
