Robert Eugene Reischman, 85, of Delaware, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 31, 2025, at his residence.
Born March 11, 1939, in Ashland, Ohio, Robert was the only son of the late Charles and Mary Opal (McLane) Reischman. He graduated from Woodsfield High School and attended Ohio University.
Robert worked as a computer programmer for companies such as BorgWarner, Kenyon College, and Borden. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Delaware and the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his children, Robert E. (Anita) Reischman II, Brian Reischman, Tina Smith, and Mary Helen James; 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Loretta Reischman, whom he married in 1959, and daughter Vonda Speckman.
Robert was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed golfing in the summer and was a passionate fan of Ohio State, the Cleveland Browns, and the Cleveland Guardians. He cherished family vacations, especially trips to Colorado, Niagara Falls, and Tennessee. He also enjoyed completing puzzles and square dancing with Loretta.
Friends may visit the family on Monday, February 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Delaware Chapel, 101 Valleyside Drive, Delaware, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, February 11, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 82 East William Street, Delaware. Burial will follow at Mount Liberty Cemetery in Mount Liberty, Ohio.
