Tommy E. Thatcher, 80, of Howard, Ohio, peacefully went to meet his Lord on Monday, December 2, 2024. He leaves behind Patty, his wife of 33 years, and seven children Tommy Thatcher (Jason), Patty Montoya (Gene), Heather Allinder (Johnny), Holly Thatcher, Brian Thatcher (Bethany), Tara Matzel (John), his sister Ruthie Wallenburg (Ronnie) and countless grandchildren and great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Pat and Leona Thatcher, Tommy was preceded in death by his daughter Angie and his brother Chuck.
Tommy found his greatest peace in the simplest of tasks – whether fishing, camping, woodworking, playing cards, or simply sitting on the porch. His skilled hands took pride in fixing and building countless projects while creating connections and memories that will last forever. Known for his quick wit and endless repertoire of jokes, he had a gift for bringing smiles and laughter to every room he entered. His humor and orneriness was his way of connecting with others, reminding us all not to take life too seriously.
He was a member of Millwood Church of Christ where a celebration of his life will be held on Friday, December 13th at 6 PM. At this time, stories will be shared, laughter will be encouraged, and his love for life will be remembered. In his honor, the family invites you to bring your favorite joke or memory to share. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 6 PM for friends and family prior to the service.
