Fredericktown’s girls basketball team defeated Highland High 49-39 on November 22, with key performances from several players. Senior Cally Carpenter led the Freddies with 14 points, bringing her career total to 997—just three points shy of 1,000.
Junior Ella Bouton added 12 points, and Junior Mya Bryant contributed 9 points, shooting 50 percent from the field.
Fredericktown head coach Jared Pryor praised the team’s balanced effort after the win.
“I was really proud of how balanced our scoring was. We really worked together and played as a team,” Pryor said.
With the victory, the Freddies continue to build momentum as they await Carpenter’s milestone achievement.
