Eight wins in a row! 13 straight wins at home! These are just some of the achievements the Danville Blue Devils can say they have done thus far into the season. Danville achieved that eighth straight victory this past Friday night, in the semi-final of the region 27 match-ups, when they demolished Miller High by a score of 46-6.

It was another big night for the Blue Devils running back, Cyren Wallace, as he rushed for 293 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Fellow star running back, Aidan Burke, finished the night with 103 yards on 12 carries and a touchdown as well.

Danville was unstoppable on the ground, and finished the game with an astonishing 492 rushing yards. Eight different players ran the ball on the night for the Blue Devils in the game.

Blue Devils quarterback Jacob Hackman concluded his night completing 50 percent of his passes, going 6 of 12 for 69 yards and a rushing touchdown.

On defense, Danville was able to keep Miller quiet all night, other than allowing one touchdown. Linebacker Josh Byers finished the game with another double digit stat of 18 total tackles, two of which went for loss of yards. Sophomore Chris Mosher, who led the team in receiving yards on offense with 27, also scored a defensive touchdown in a scoop-n-score following a blocked punt by Miller.

The win raised Danville’s record to 11-2. They are now headed to the region 27 finals, and will face a tough task as they take on undefeated Eastern Pike (13-0).  As for Miller, they moved to 10-3 with the defeat, and their season is now over.
