The Downtown Mount Vernon Merchants are thrilled to announce the return of the highly anticipated 2nd Annual Witches Night Out Shop Hop, taking place on Thursday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 9 p.m.

This spooktacular event invites all witches, warlocks, and magical creatures to enjoy an evening of shopping, fun, and enchantment in the heart of Mount Vernon.

A bewitching success last year, Witches Night Out is an opportunity for locals and visitors alike to support downtown businesses while immersing themselves in the Halloween spirit. Participating shops and restaurants will offer special discounts and promotions. Attendees can stroll the charming streets of Mount Vernon while uncovering delightful treasures.

Guests are encouraged to wear their best witchy attire, as there will be a costume contest at Happy Street Brü Werks around 9 p.m. In addition to the shopping and costume contest, the evening will feature: Hot Dogging food cart on Public Square, themed photo opportunities for capturing magical memories, giveaway entry with purchase at participating businesses and a DORA event!

"The Witches Night Out Shop Hop is not only a chance to celebrate the season but also a great way to showcase the diverse array of businesses that make our downtown special,” said Lacey Filkins, executive director of Experience Mount Vernon. “Experience Mount Vernon (is) excited to support the Downtown Mount Vernon Merchants in this event and see everyone get into the Halloween spirit while enjoying everything Downtown Mount Vernon has to offer."

This event is free to attend, and families are welcome, though some activities may have age restrictions. In the weeks leading up to the event, the Downtown Mount Vernon Merchants hosted an online store selling limited edition Witches Night Out t-shirts. Proceeds from the sale of these shirts benefitted New Directions Shelter.
