The Public Square in downtown Mount Vernon, Ohio, will come alive with creativity and community every first Sunday of the month through October.
Sundays on the Square, a lively artisan market, kicked off on June 1 and will continue on July 6, Aug. 3, Sept. 7, and Oct. 5. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This monthly event transforms the square into a hub of local talent, with artists showcasing and selling handmade goods ranging from crafts to artwork. Visitors can explore pop-up artisan shops and browse the charming boutiques that line the downtown area.
Beyond shopping, the community can enjoy a unique downtown experience that includes the whimsical dog fountain and a variety of food options. Many local restaurants also open their doors to welcome the Sunday crowd.
