The Public Square in downtown Mount Vernon, Ohio, will come alive with creativity and community every first Sunday of the month through October.

Sundays on the Square, a lively artisan market, kicked off on June 1 and will continue on July 6, Aug. 3, Sept. 7, and Oct. 5. It will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This monthly event transforms the square into a hub of local talent, with artists showcasing and selling handmade goods ranging from crafts to artwork. Visitors can explore pop-up artisan shops and browse the charming boutiques that line the downtown area.

Beyond shopping, the community can enjoy a unique downtown experience that includes the whimsical dog fountain and a variety of food options. Whether you're craving fresh pastries, hot coffee, refreshing drinks, or something savory from the sausage truck, there’s something for every palate. Many local restaurants also open their doors to welcome the Sunday crowd.

Families can spend a leisurely afternoon at the Public Square, enjoying arts and crafts and a variety of foods at the artisan market. Contact 740-501-0577 for further information.
