The Kenyon College men's golf team was recently named the 2023-2024 NCAA Division III Academic National Champion by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

According to a release by the Owls, Kenyon College’s golf squad had a combined GPA of 3.726 this past season. The team won the GCAA All-Academic Team Award for a GPA of more than 3.0. The Owls also won the GCAA Presidents Special Recognition for having a GPA of 3.5 or better, and this made them one of 13 NCAA Division III teams to achieve the honor. Kenyon also posted the best GPA among all NCAA Division III teams, which led to the National Champion honor.

The GCAA Cobalt Gold All-America Scholar nomination requirements include a student-athlete having a stroke average under 79; posting a 3.2 GPA or better; and participating in at least 50% of the rounds the team plays. Nominees need to be sophomores through seniors.

This season Kenyon College had its best scoring average in team history, while also winning the 2024 North Coast Athletic Conference title and tying for eighth in the NCAA Division III Championship.
