Annie Jackson | Provided

Annie Jackson, a beloved mother, wife, and dear friend, passed away on Dec. 5, 2023, in Tampa, Florida. Born June 14, 1942, in Alma, Arkansas, to Reuel and Frances, she grew up in the sunny embrace of Redondo Beach, California, alongside her brothers, Reed and Clyde.

Annie’s spirit was as warm and inviting as the California sunshine. She was known for her love of all things green, her infectious laugh and her devotion to her beloved dog Ollie. She first married Robert Kenneth Carr, with whom she had two daughters, Catherine and Sherrie. After their time together, she found love again with Kenneth Lemon, and she was blessed with two more children, Denise and Craig.

A cornerstone of her community, Annie's vibrant personality shone brightest at The Office, a local establishment transformed by her and her husband, Thomas Roberts. Originally owned by Tom’s mother, Eleanor, the bar became a thriving gathering place under Annie’s influence. Her radiant smile and welcoming nature made everyone feel at home.

Annie's family, which included seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and friends will always remember her as a loving mother, a supportive wife, and a cherished friend. Her contributions to The Office and the community it served will not be forgotten. May she rest in peace, knowing she made a profound impact on the lives of those she loved and the many patrons she welcomed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in her memory.
