Knox Public Health has announced that it will offer a free Ohio Person in Charge Food Safety Training Course in March. The course is scheduled to take place at the Ramser 4-H Activity Center.

According to a post on Knox Public Health's Facebook page, the training is designed to equip an individual with the skills necessary to be responsible for operations throughout a shift. It is mandatory for food service operations and retail food establishments to have an individual designated in charge for each shift, usually a shift manager or another supervisor.

Registration for the course is free and participants will receive a certificate upon completion, as stated by Knox Public Health on their Facebook page. The Ramser 4-H Activity Center, where the course will be held, is located at 700 Perimeter Drive, Mount Vernon.

For those interested in registering for the course, they are advised to call 740-393-2200, ext. 2222, or email eh@knoxhealth.com with their name, phone number and address, according to another post by Knox Public Health on Facebook.
