Knox Community Hospital has announced a free Doc Talk scheduled for June 5 from 5 to 6 PM. Dr. Emmanuel Melonakos will lead the discussion, focusing on research exploring potential connections between digital media use and attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children.
According to Knox Community Hospital, the event will delve into recent findings regarding how digital media may influence ADHD symptoms and its implications for children's development. The talk aims to provide insights into supporting children's growth and mitigating ADHD symptoms within today's multimedia environment. The session is open to the public and will be held in the second-floor classroom of the Wright Family Medical Pavilion.
Dr. Melonakos earned his bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, followed by a medical degree from Wayne State University in Detroit. He also holds a master’s degree focused on Medical Ethics from Holy Cross and Boston College. He completed his pediatric residency at Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
