Six Knox County golf courses have been named to the inaugural Ohio Golf Trail, according to a recent announcement from TourismOhio. The trail, featured on Ohio.org, highlights top public golfing experiences across the state and positions Knox County as a notable destination for golfers in the Midwest.

The six courses included are Apple Valley Golf Course in Howard; Chapel Hill Golf Course, Irish Hills Golf Club, and Vernon View Golf Course in Mount Vernon; and Table Rock Golf Club and Wyandot Golf Club in Centerburg. Each course is recognized for its unique features, such as scenic landscapes, challenging layouts, and well-maintained greens.
Olivia Toth, Executive Director of the Knox County Convention & Visitors Bureau, said, "Having six of our courses recognized on the state’s official golf trail is a testament to the quality and diversity of play available right here in Knox County. Whether you are a scratch golfer or a weekend enthusiast, the Knox County leg of this trail offers some of the best value and most beautiful landscapes in the state."
The Ohio Golf Trail was created to encourage both residents and visitors to explore more than 180 public courses throughout Ohio. Organizers expect that featuring Knox County so prominently will help drive sports tourism to the area and benefit local businesses including restaurants, shops, and lodging.
Golfers interested in planning their visit can view the full trail details and download a printable map through Ohio.org. More information about local attractions can be found at the organization's website.
