East Knox boys' bowling heads to states for first time

The East Knox boys’ bowling team finished as the Central District runners up, and for the first time in school history, the Bulldogs are competing in the Division II State Tournament. East Knox senior Olivia Nastasi, and KMAC bowler of the year, will also be heading to the state tournament, as well.

Most recently, she has led the Indians to a pair of upset wins in the playoffs and helped Mount Gilead secure their second straight Sectional title.

Lady Scots fall to Centennial in opening round of playoffs

The No. 15 Highland girls’ basketball team took on No. 3 Centennial in the first round of the Division II Central 1 Sectional tournament on Feb. 21, and despite a 16 point effort for Bryleigh Young, the Lady Scots fell 67-52 to end the season with an 8-15 record.
