Carla R. Emmons-Will, age 60, of Edison, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, November 5, 2023, at Marion General Hospital.

On May 21, 1963, Carla was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio, a daughter of the late Carroll C. and Mildred L. (Brady) Clements. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in the Class of 1981.

For most of her life, Carla worked in the automotive industry. She was employed by Burcliff Industries and Stahl’s in Cardington, then at the JEGS Performance Warehouse in Delaware and more recently worked for FT Precision in Fredericktown.

When Carla wasn’t working, she enjoyed being outdoors working in her vegetable garden or creating something in her woodshop. She loved making crafts, going to craft shows and helping others.

Carla was rather active and enjoyed bowling, competitive tug-of-war and playing softball, for which she had many trophies. She belonged to the Mount Vernon Moose Lodge and was especially fond of Abby’s dog, Molly. Some of Carla’s favorite things to do with her family included board games, Yahtzee, paint nights, and falling asleep part way through movies.

Carla will be remembered as a woman with a wonderful sense of humor who was small but mighty, and a bit of a firecracker most of the time.

Left to cherish Carla’s memory is her husband, Michael Will, of Edison; two daughters: Amber “Reggie” (Cody) Douglas of Mount Gilead, Abby Woody of Edison; two grandchildren: Ryan and Paisley Douglas; a sister, Toni (Morgan) Cline; a sister-in-law, Teresa Clements; and her former husband and father of her children, Jerry Emmons.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Candy Emmons; and her brother, Brady Clements.

Friends of Carla can visit the family and share a memory of her at The Village Gathering Place, 30 S. Main St., Mount Gilead, Ohio between the hours of 1-3 PM and 5-8 PM on November 13, 2023.

Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead are honored to have been chosen to serve Carla’s family. Special memories or condolences may be shared by visiting www.SnyderFuneralHomes.com.
