Highland volleyball finishes season 23-4 with regional semifinal loss to Badin

The No. 2 Lady Scots were knocked off in the regional semifinals of the state volleyball tournament on Nov. 2 by No. 2 Badin (20-7, 7-3), but it was a solid season for Highland who were conference and district champions and ended 23-4 with a 12-2 MOAC record.

Highland lost to the Rams 25-19, 25-18 and 25-12 in the semifinal match.

The Lady Scots were led by Kameron Stover, with the junior tallying 13 kills, one block and four digs. Larsen Terrill assisted on 23 kills and added five digs, two aces and two kills. Reagan Maibach had four kills, two digs and an assist; Mia Stanco had three kills, two blocks and an ace; and Logan Bradley recorded two kills and a dig. Savanna Sanborn had an ace and nine digs in the match. Camryn Miller led the defense with 20 digs.

Leading up to the loss the Lady Scots had won nine straight matches, which included six consecutive sweeps.
