At Stake: Northmor looks to continue its winning streak in the Division VI, Region 23 football tournament after a big opening round win over Dawson-Bryant.
What to Watch: Northmor is riding a six game winning streak and started off the playoffs with a 44-22 win where they had 337 yards of total offense.
The Golden Knights were led by quarterback AJ Bower, who was 20-for-24 for 235 yards and three touchdowns. He has been the rock for the Northmor all season, amassing 2,220 yards, 32 touchdowns and eight interceptions while passing at a 61.68% completion rate. Bower led the KMAC just about every passing statistic.
Jax Wenger is his top receiver, with 41 catches for 778 yards and 14 scores this year. Bo Landin is another big threat catching the ball, as he had 27 catches for 638 yards and 11 touchdowns. Hunter Fulk is also a weapon receiving the ball, coming off a game where he had nine catches for 66 yards.
Sophomore running back Carson Campbell has 980 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the year. He is coming off a game where he ran 15 times for 74 yards.
Paul Cramer had three rushing touchdowns in the game and 11 total for the season. Watch out for Cramer on defense as well, as he tallied 14 tackles last week. Cameron Goldbach had a sack in the game to go with seven tackles.
Trimble is coming off an opening round win over Elgin where they dominated 37-6 in an upset over the fifth seed. Watch out for running back Xavier Cunningham, as the senior is coming off a big rushing game where he hit the century mark. They had 203 rushing yards and four scores on the ground. Quarterback Brandon Burdette scored three times, once on the ground and twice through the air to Max Frank. The Tomcats have outscored opponents 266-153 this year.
