Andrew White, a renowned vocalist and professor, will be visiting Mount Vernon Nazarene University (MVNU) as part of its Fall Lecture Artist series. The event, which is open to the public, will take place on Oct. 20. White will be presenting a vocal recital featuring Franz Schubert's "Wintereisse" at 7:30 p.m. in Thorne Performance Hall located in the R.R. Hodges Chapel & Fine Arts Center.
According to an MVNU press release, White has performed in various cities across the United States and Canada, including Boston, Cleveland, New York, Chicago, San Francisco, San Antonio, and Vancouver. He has also made his New York debut at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, where he performed songs by composer Frederick Koch.
The Fall Lecture Artist series is partially funded by the Arts, Lecture and Programs Committee, which aims to provide supplemental resources to expose MVNU students to individuals with expertise and life experiences that would not otherwise be available on campus. For more information about the event, interested individuals can contact committee Chair Jayme McMillan.
