What to Watch

East Knox had a three game winning streak snapped last week in a tough loss to Northmor, 27-6, where they had trouble stopping the pass.

Blake Elliott was once again the team’s stud on offense, with 18 carries for 116 yards. He now has 728 yards rushing on the year. Bracen Davis is a player who can go off for big plays, but he is coming off a pedestrian week where he only hauled in a pair of catches. Jax Lester also had an off-week with only 36 yards on 5-for-16 passing. Look for them to push to get back into form in a KMAC matchup.

The Freddies are coming off a 28-14 win over Loudonville where quarterback Blake Sipes had his best game of the season. He was 8-for-13 passing for 197 yards and three touchdowns in the air, and also had 82 yards on 20 carries, with a rushing touchdown. His top option was Gavin Toombs with eight catches for 55 yards, and all three passing touchdowns.

Defensively, Lane Warner had a great week with 8.5 tackles and a fumble recovery. Dalton Lang is also one to watch, coming off a week where he had 6.5 tackles with 1.5 for a loss. Grant Hartley had a pick, and was also solid on offense with a pair of catches and a touchdown.
