Isaiah Sule's triple touchdown performance propels Centerburg Trojans to conference win over Mount Gilead

Isaiah Sule had a three touchdown performance for the Centerburg Trojans (4-3, 3-1), who won their third straight and took a conference win in a 28-11 victory over Mount Gilead (2-5, 0-4). The Indians have now lost four straight and are searching for their first conference win.

Both teams were scoreless in the first quarter, but the Trojans took the lead 7-0 in the second quarter on a Jesse Rings touchdown rush. The Indians made it a four point game on a field goal, but Centerburg made it 21-3 with an 83-yard pass play from Rings to Isaiah Sule, and a 25-yard run by Sule in the third quarter. Sule continued his big day with a 54-yard touchdown run, and while Mount Gilead outscored Centerburg 8-7 in the fourth quarter, the Trojans held on for the win.

Centerburg had 173 rushing yards and 193 passing yards in the win. Sule led the Trojans with 10 carries for 84 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught two passes for 94 yards and a touchdown. Rings had 12 carries for 89 yards and a touchdown. He was also 9-for-16 passing for 193 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Daniel LeMaster was 3-for-3 on extra points. 

The Trojans defense was on point, as Mount Gilead had 105 rushing yards, but they had -2 passing yards on the day. The Trojans defense was led by Chris Marshall with nine tackles.

Eliot Jones tallied 58 yards and a touchdown for the Indians, while Cole Fricke had 52 rushing yards.
