Danville goes 0-3 in volleyball play last week

The Danville Blue Devils (5-12, 2-8) have lost four straight volleyball matches including going 0-3 last week.

Danville faced Central Christian (4-11, 3-4) on September 25 and took a 3-2 loss in non-conference action. Danville took a 25-21 win to open the match, but Central Christian lost 25-16 in set two and 25-10 in set three. The Blue Devils battled for a 26-24 win in set four, but fell 15-10 in the fifth set.

The Blue Devils then took on KMAC rival Cardington-Lincoln (9-5, 5-3) on Sept. 26, but lost 3-1. The Pirates took a 25-19 win in set one and set two, but then fell 25-21 in set three. Cardington-Lincoln turned things around in the fourth set with a 25-13 win.

Danville had trouble with Fredericktown from the start and never recovered in a 3-0 loss on Sept. 28. The Freddies won by scores of 25-14, 25-8 and 25-17.
