Ashland Arrow's offense sputtered in a match against the New Philadelphia Quakers.
The Quakers threw a 28-0 dominance over the Arrows in Friday's game. They took on a 14-0 lead against the visiting Arrows. Quarterback Keaton Fausel completed 16 out of 20 passes for a total of 130 yards and contributed a touchdown through the air. Running back Etnie Richardson rushed the ball 29 times for 222 yards and three scores. His final rush of the game was late part of the fourth quarter, resulting in a remarkable 78-yard touchdown. He emerged as the offensive MVP.
The Arrows struggled to generate offensive yardage, totaling only 161 yards. A significant portion of this came from an initial 20-yard reception by Cayden Spotts, who contributed 66 yards in total, and a 21-yard catch by Austin Downing. Sophomore quarterback Nathan Bernhard completed 15 of his 25 passing attempts for 105 yards but encountered a setback in the fourth quarter when he threw an interception.
New Philadelphia did not manage to score in the third quarter but made sure Ashland would not score too.
Ashland ended the game scoreless as New Philadelphia pitched 14 scores in the last quarter.

Lexington 31, Mount Vernon 17
Lexington Minutemen overcame a sluggish start and eventually secured a 31-17 victory against Mount Vernon Yellow Jackets in an Ohio high school football game held at Mount Vernon High on Friday.
Despite having a 3-0 lead over Lexington at the close of the first quarter and an advantage to start the final quarter, the Yellow Jackets bowed down to the Minutemen in the final quarter.
Joe Caudill and Markale Martin alternated carrying the ball into the Mount Vernon defense, gradually bringing numbers to Lexington’s scoreboard as the game progressed. Together, they wrapped up the evening with a total of 299 rushing yards, acquiring the Minutemen's impressive second-half comeback, ultimately resulting in a 31-17 victory on the road.

Madison 14, Wooster 27
The Madison Rams stayed competitive with Wooster but stumbled in the late stages, resulting in a 27-14 loss during their Sept. 8 away conference game.
A large part of the General's victory came from Julian Franklin's accumulated 176 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns on 29 carries. His touchdown runs covered distances of 14, 3, and 17 yards, and he also contributed with a successful 2-point conversion run.
Wooster's Hayden Meese finished with eight catches for 89 yards. His performance included a 24-yard TD pass from AJ Likowski in the third quarter that gave Wooster a 27-8 lead.
Next Friday Madison Rams will face West Holmes Knights, who recently lost their Sept. 8 game to Mansfield Senior.

Mansfield Senior 38, West Holmes 28
Mansfield Senior defeated the three-time defending league champion West Holmes in a home conference game last Friday.
The Tygers notched two safeties, successfully retrieved two on-side kicks, and converted both opportunities into scores. Additionally, they secured three interceptions, with Maurice Bradley II delivering a pick-six with just 4 minutes and 12 seconds remaining in the game to secure the victory. Mansfield Senior recorded seven sacks, including 3.5 by Symirr Phillips Phillips recorded 4.5 tackles resulting in lost yardage out of his six total tackles, relentlessly pressuring West Holmes quarterback Morgan Smith on nearly every passing attempt.
The Knights made good scores in the fourth quarter but still not enough to cover their scoreless first and third quarters.
