New Philadelphia 22, Wooster 13

New Philadelphia’s (2-1, 1-0) Etnie Richardson and Keaton Fausel combined for 240 yards rushing in a 22-13 win over Wooster (1-2, 0-1), in what was their first conference matchup of the season.

Richardson ran the ball 24 times for 125 yards and a touchdown, while Fausel had 16 rushes for 115 yards and a score. Fausel was 9-for-18 passing, for 121 yards. Jordy Delacruz caught two passes for 42 yards in the win.

Aiden Matthews had an interception and three tackles for the Quakers. Boston Crowell had one sack and three tackles. Jaiden Boltz led the team in tackles with 14, and Zach Rothrock added 12 tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Carson Long also forced a fumble and had six tackles.

On defense, Hayden Meese had 22 tackles and a forced fumble for Wooster. Evan Patton had a forced fumble, a sack and three tackles. Julian Franklin had two sacks, a forced fumble and nine tackles. Ethan Shetler had five tackles and a half-sack. Grant Beard recorded eight tackles and a fumble recovery.
