Mount Vernon (2-5, 1-3) and Wooster (2-5, 1-4) battled back-and-forth to the final quarter in a battle between Ohio Cardinal Conference rivals, but the Yellow Jackets took a big first half lead and were able to hold off the Generals, 35-28.

New Philadelphia’s (2-1, 1-0) Etnie Richardson and Keaton Fausel combined for 240 yards rushing in a 22-13 win over Wooster (1-2, 0-1), in what was their first conference matchup of the season.
