RICHMOND, Ind. – Sharron L. Moyer, age 87, of Richmond, Indiana, formerly of Mount Vernon, Ohio, died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, Aug. 8, 2023, in her apartment at the Leland Legacy.

Sharron was born on Jan. 12, 1936, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Jay and Irma Dull Paris. She lived in Apple Valley, Ohio, for many years before relocating to Richmond several years ago. Sharron was a 1953 graduate of Ridgeville High School. She was a Red Hat Society and Apple Valley Garden Club member. Sharron was a very talented artist. She loved her morning swims and taking walks at Apple Valley Lake. Sharron enjoyed gardening, her animals and spending time with family. She was an exemplary cook.  

Survivors include her daughters, Tammy (Tom) LaFevre of Howard, Ohio; Cindy Pittman, of Mount Vernon, Ohio; and Vickie (David) Cortner of Eaton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Paris, of Michigan; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Moyer, who died in 1997; parents; a brother, Jim Paris; an infant brother, Jacob; sisters, Gwen Olsen and Alice Simpson; and a son-in-law, Larry McNeil.

Visitation for Sharron L. Moyer will be from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 15, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home. Private burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.
