KILLBUCK – Linda Mary Loretta Zollars Hawkins from Killbuck passed away peacefully from declining health on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Majora Lane in Millersburg, surrounded by her family.

Linda was born on Feb. 12, 1943, in Amity, to Everett and Helen Zollars and they preceded her in death. Linda graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1961. She was a member of Union Grove Church near Killbuck and always enjoyed sermons from her friend, neighbor and favorite pastor, Cliff Beck.

Linda married the love of her life, Kenneth Paul Hawkins, in 1968, and they are now living their perfect life together in heaven. Linda was also preceded in death by her brother, Charles "Sonny" Zollars, and a sister, Ruthie Hendrick; also a father and mother-in-law, Ray and Ada Hawkins; along with many other family and friends.

Surviving are her children: Paula (Mike) Sanchez, John (Carol) Hawkins and Denise Hawkins; grandchildren: Kendall and Miguel Sanchez, Landon and Kaedon Hawkins and Michael Hawkins; and great-grandson, Grayson Hawkins.

Linda worked 28 years at the Millersburg Walmart, enjoyed every day she worked there and met many amazing and lasting friends. A great friend and co-worker, Pat Kula, was also her roommate at Majora Lane and they would joke, laugh and give the staff a hard time, often referring to themselves as "Dumb and Dumber."

Linda loved people and if you ever met her, she would always refer to you as her "Sweetie or Honey." She enjoyed feeding her birds, loving on her cat, Ingrid, and enjoyed planting flowers and watching them grow.

The family would like to thank the staff at Majora Lane and Hospice as they made her last days on Earth very special.

Services will be Monday, July 17, at Union Grove Church, 2135 TR 2, Killbuck, OH 44637, with Pastor Cliff Beck officiating. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the church. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
