Patricia (Morey) Hyatt, 87, of Mount Vernon passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Willow Brook Christian Community in Delaware, Ohio, after an extended illness of Alzheimer’s Disease.
She was born on Sept. 2, 1935, in Knox County, Ohio, to the late Marlin and Lucille (Cline) Morey.
She is survived by her children Jeff (Laurie) Hyatt of Marietta, Georgia, Karen (Mark) Levine of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Stephen (Cheryl) Hyatt, Radnor, and David (Stephanie) Hyatt of Hinesburg, Vermont; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her brother, Neil (Sharon) Morey, Cedar Park, Texas, and her sister, Marlene (Jim) Springer, Howard; two sisters-in-law, Jan Hyatt, Sarasota, Florida, and Joreen Hyatt, Huron; in addition to several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John (Jack) Hyatt, her brother, Dick Morey and a sister, Lois Marie Morey, as well as John’s parents, Jesse and Faithe Hyatt, and two brothers-in-law, Melvin Hyatt and Stanley Hyatt.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held for Pat and John at Snyder Funeral Home – Lasater Chapel at 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon, 43050, on Saturday, July 29, with visitation from 10-11 a.m. followed by a service by Pastor Thom Fowler of Beulah United Methodist Church. A private burial service will follow at Friendship Cemetery.
