The 2023 track season ended with a KMAC championship for the Mount Gilead boys track and field team, as the Indians edged Northmor. Fredericktown won the girls title ahead of Mount Gilead.
With record-setting marks set all season and competitors giving it everything they had, KMAC honored Mount Gilead’s Madilyn Elson as girls Track Runner of the Year with Fredericktown’s Ella Bouton named Field Athlete of the Year. Freddies coach Bob Geiger was girls Track Coach of the Year.
For the boys, Nathan Streby of East Knox was named boys Track Runner of the Year and Bryer Boeshart of Danville was boys Field Athlete of the Year. Co-Track Coaches of the Year were Kevin Ruhl of Northmor and Lauren Huelsman of Mount Gilead.
