The Vintage Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio has changed its name to the Permco Grand Prix of Mid-Ohio, but remains at its home, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington.
Running this weekend, the event is the longest continuously-running spectator event at the track – in its 41st year – and will feature a diverse mix of vintage and contemporary racing action from six different series together known as SpeedTour. SpeedTour is a collection of dynamic racing series ranging from Sportscar Vintage Racing Association (SVRA) racing to provide “History in Motion” to exciting sports car action from International GT, the newly formed Prototype Spring Series Association and the ever-popular Trans Am Series.
The on-track action is rounded off with open-wheel competition from the rising stars of sports racing in the Formula Regional Americas Championship powered by Honda (FR Americas) and Formula 4 United States Championship powered by Honda (F4 U.S.). Off the track, two car shows will take place, the British Car Showdown on Saturday, June 24 and Concours d'Elegance on Sunday, June 25.
Races will be run on Mid-Ohio’s 2.258-mile, 13-turn natural terrain road course with four left and nine right turns running clockwise.
Registration for both shows is in the infield of the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and ends at 11 a.m. each day. Those who register will get a parade lap around the track during the lunch break. Advance car show registration is encouraged at midohio.com/info/car-corrals.
Advance print-at-home tickets are strongly encouraged to reduce gate entry times. To order tickets in advance, visit midohio.com. General admission is $60 for the weekend and $35 for daily passes ($10 additional for tickets purchased at the gate). Weekend tent and motorhome camping are available for purchase.
