The Monday Golf League at Apple Valley finished its fourth week of action with Dirko’s Pizza of Howard continuing to lead the first half of the season. The Sprang Builder and Apple Valley Golf Course teams remain within striking distance with three more rounds to play, and new handicaps for Week Five may prove the difference.

Scott Bell had the low round last week, firing a 37. Chuck Powell, subbing for Jon Adams, shot a 38, Ed O’Connell fashioned a 39 and Phil Meyer brought home a 40.

The Monday Golf League at Apple Valley began as the Mount Vernon Business Men’s League more than 40 years ago and it is still going strong. League play takes place at the Apple Valley Golf Course at 433 Clubhouse Dr. in Howard and is presided over by James Long.
