HOWARD – Knox County Prosecutor Chip McConville will be speaking to the Apple Valley Republicans on May 25 at 7 p.m. at the Apple Valley Clubhouse, 3725 Apple Valley Drive in Howard, Ohio.

McConville has served as Knox County’s Prosecuting Attorney since July 2014. During his term, the number of felony cases prosecuted has increased by about 50%, with drug offenses leading the list of crimes. In addition to prosecuting more than 300 felonies a year, the office also represents county elected officials, boards, township trustees and fire districts in civil matters. These duties include litigating zoning disputes and collecting unpaid real estate taxes.

Last year, McConville won a case in front of the Ohio Supreme Court, resulting in longer potential prison sentences for sex offenders convicted of registration violations. Chip also works on criminal law legislative initiatives as a member of the Ohio Criminal Sentencing Commission and a member of the Ohio Prosecuting Attorneys Association legislative committee.

The Apple Valley Republicans are a group of eastern Knox County, Ohio, residents who believe Republicans have better ideas. We want our elected officials to represent their constituents and not their lobbyists. We believe in The Constitution and Bill of Rights, limited government and unlimited freedom.

We host monthly speakers that help to educate and advance our beliefs. Our meetings are open to the public, and all like-minded citizens are welcome to join us, regardless of where you live.
